As I started writing this mini post (as a distraction!) my dear husband Tony was 2+ hours into a “routine” procedure on his HEART! 💔
Doesn’t sound routine to me—but to a cardiology department, an experienced specialist who does 3-4 of these procedures a day, and according to my faithful and knowledgeable friend “Google,” 😉 a cardiac ablation is routine and quite successful in treating persistent AFIB (abnormal heart rhythm), which is the ailment my sweet husband has been dealing with for probably a year.
Ablation you ask? Oh, just a little medical maneuver whereby the doc runs a cauterizer/camera into a vein that leads to my husband’s heart. Once there, the doc “looks around” via a computer screen and then cauterizes tissue (both burning and freezing) to stop the incessant misfiring of signals that have been plaguing Tony for around a year. This AFIB has been like Tony wearing a very obnoxiously heavy albatross around his neck, slowing down this usually very energetic man.

When I got the call from the doc that all went well, I was flooded with joy and relief. My faith is much stronger than my worry…but anxiety did raise its ugly head a few times! Knowing that a brigade of men from our church, and a collection of family and friends were all praying gave us both such comfort and encouragement.
I am thanking God for guiding the doctor’s hands and giving Tony a caring team here at the hospital. My thoughts now turn to praying for lasting results, renewed energy…all with the knowledge of God’s everlasting love and care for the man who has MY heart! ❤️ 🙏
P.S. he’s home and doing well! 🙌🙌

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
Psalm 73:26
Thanks for sharing, Dana. Blessings and prayers to you both. I like that your faith is stronger than your worry but worry tries to be powerful. Good job keep it at bay. ❤️
Susan…thanks, it’s tough at times to turn things over to God…but I sure keep trying!!! 🙏🙏
Praise God from whom all blessings flow! ❤️
Amen, Cathy!
We are so thankful for a successful procedure. Make Tony mind his P’s and Q’s! Praising God along with you my friend.

Dana, thank you for always opening your heart to others. Tony may have had his opened by a surgeon but you have consistently shared the hard of life with grace and faith.
